Bringing the taste of home a little closer.
Good food connects us. Great food reminds us where we come from.
At FindChow, we believe African and Caribbean food deserves to be easier to discover, enjoy and share.
We're building a marketplace that connects food lovers with incredible African and Caribbean food businesses, from independent home-based chefs to established restaurants, caterers and grocery merchants.
But our story didn't begin with a big platform or a grand launch. It began with a simple idea.

How it all started
A simple idea, born from a familiar craving.
Finding authentic African and Caribbean food shouldn't be difficult, especially when there are talented food businesses making incredible dishes within our communities.
Yet discovering these businesses, exploring their menus and ordering from them isn't always as straightforward as it should be.
We saw an opportunity to change that.
FindChow was born from a desire to bridge the gap between people looking for the food they love and the independent businesses preparing it.
We wanted to create more than another food ordering platform. We wanted to build something that celebrates our food, supports the people behind it and makes authentic flavours more accessible.
And so, our journey began in Plymouth.
Our Plymouth pilot
Small beginnings. Real orders. Valuable lessons.
In 2024, we took FindChow from an idea into the real world, launching our early pilot in Plymouth and expanding our initial merchant network across two cities.
We partnered with local food businesses, introduced customers to their menus and started facilitating real orders.
It was an opportunity to test our idea, understand our customers and learn directly from the merchants we set out to support.

These early milestones gave us something more valuable than numbers: practical experience.
We learnt about the realities of running a food business, the challenges of reaching new customers and the importance of building a platform that works for both sides of the marketplace.
Our pilot wasn't the finish line. It was the foundation for what came next.

The people who made it possible
Real businesses. Real people. Real stories.
Behind every meal is a person, a passion and a story worth sharing.
From the food businesses who believed in our vision early on to the customers who placed their first orders, our community has always been at the heart of FindChow.
We're proud to share some of their stories.

A milestone worth celebrating
Proud to be part of the Barclays Black Founder Accelerator.
As we continued building FindChow, we were selected to join Cohort 6.0 of the Barclays Black Founder Accelerator, an initiative supporting ambitious Black-led businesses.
Being selected as one of 25 founders from over 2,000 applicants was an important milestone in our journey.
The experience gave us an opportunity to learn, connect with other founders and further develop our thinking about the business we wanted to build.
It also reinforced our ambition to create something meaningful for the communities and food businesses we serve.
For us, it was a reminder that an idea which started in Plymouth could have a much bigger future.

Where we are today
We've learnt. We've evolved. And we're building what's next.
Our Plymouth pilot taught us a great deal, including that African and Caribbean food businesses don't all operate in the same way.
Some serve freshly prepared meals. Others specialise in bulk orders, meal preparation, catering, frozen foods, groceries and products that can reach customers beyond their immediate neighbourhoods.
We realised FindChow needed to evolve to better reflect that diversity.
Today, we're developing FindChow into a broader marketplace designed to help customers discover and order African and Caribbean food, groceries and speciality products from independent food businesses.
For merchants, our ambition is to create another channel to showcase their products, reach new customers and grow their businesses.
For customers, it's about making the food they love easier to find, wherever possible.
We're taking the lessons from our first pilot into this next chapter, refining our platform, welcoming food businesses and preparing to serve more communities across the UK.
The vision is bigger now. But the reason we started hasn't changed.
